Online gambling's biggest conference event, GIGSE, is about to celebrate it's 10 big year, gambling911.com reported. Having survived a SARs scare, drastic relocation efforts and the dreaded Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, GIGSE is now moving to the next level, becoming an "invitation only" event, the website reported.

This year’s show will be held in Malta, one of the online gambling industry's leading licensing jurisdictions. This exclusive event will be held in May 20-22, 2008 at a five-star resort in Malta.

For the last nine years, GIGSE has thrived as the premier event for the interactive gaming industry. As the industry developed, GIGSE has matured to keep pace and mirror the changing dynamics that drive the industry and mold it into its current form.

In 2008, GIGSE will evolve into the Global Interactive Gaming Summit for Executives. GIGSE in its new format is designed to bring together select business visionaries, with a sprinkling of academic and government leaders. Together, they will explore the past, present and future of this nascent industry which is constantly being reshaped by sometimes surprising changes. High-profile keynote speakers from outside the industry are being secured. In addition, a series of collaborative closed-door discussions, exploring the critical issues for the industry - as chosen by the participants - will be a fundamental aspect of the conference.

The Summit will be targeted primarily to online gaming operators from around the globe with limited involvement by suppliers, governments and industry associations. Attendance will be reserved for invited founders, CEOs, Board Members, Managing Directors and/or selected C-Level executives (CMO, CTO, CFO) and will operate under the Chatham House Rule.
