Commercial establishments, shops, bars, restaurants and entertainment venues in Valletta registered an encouraging number of sales during Saturday’s Tre Re – Notte Magica, said the Malta Chamber for Small and Medium Enterprises (GRTU). “Once again, it has been shown that where commercial zones team up with the support of public entities and local councils to organise activities that attract the public, everybody benefits,” stated the Chamber.

The Chamber also asked a number of retailers for the comments concerning the night. Establishment owners in Merchant Street said that the participation in the area was a “record”. In turn, some sellers in Zachary Street said that their sales fared better than those over the Christmas period. Businesses in Melita Street also remarked on the positive number of sales and called for other similar events to be held in the future.

Republic Street was in turn the busiest street during the night, with some establishments closing down at 0000CET after recording a very high number of sales
