The England trio of football players of Portsmouth FC; David James, Peter Crouch and Jermain Defoe officially launched the club’s famous blue shirts for next season that will kick off on the 25th August with the match against Manchester United.

The FA Cup holders’ new home kit, produced from leading manufacturers Cantebury, will see Pompey revert to an all blue scheme for the 2008/09 season. The shirts are now available for sale from the Club Stores and online at www.store.portsmouthfc.co.uk/airmalta, where Air Malta customers can benefit from a 10% discount.

With Portsmouth FC set to bring European football to Fratton Park for the first time this season, fans will be pleased to hear that Harry Redknapp’s players will yet again be taking to the pitch in football’s most technologically advanced apparel.

The shirts have numerous high tech features including IonX, Canterbury’s unique technology designed to increase power output and speed up recovery, an advanced wicking system to transport sweat away from the body and a peripheral visual enhancement (PVE) system in the form of a series of high visibility reflective spots positioned in key areas of the kit.

Air Malta became the official airline partner of the Portsmouth Football Club after recently signing a two year commercial deal with the English Premiership Club.
