Libya's leader Moammar Gadhafi has decided to tend to the widow and daughter of Yasser Arafat with a security detail and a $1.5 million luxury condo in Malta, according to a UPI report.

Tunisian officials expelled Suha Arafat, 44, and Zawha Arafat, 14, for undisclosed reasons following the revocation of Suha Arafat's Tunisian citizenship in August. They had lived there since Yasser Arafat's death in November 2004.

Gadhafi spoke with Suha Arafat following the expulsion and decided to provide for the Arafats, instructing the Libyan Embassy in Malta to provide her with temporary residence in Malta until the new home became available, Ynetnews reported.

A three-man security detail is being assigned to the Arafats as well. Ynetnews cited unnamed Tunisian media reports that state the expulsion followed a row over business ventures between Suha Arafat and various associates.
