PN secretary general Joe Saliba said the PN has won the general election by around 1,200 votes.

Unofficial results indicate PN got 49.3%, MLP 48.9%, and other parties got 1.8% so no party obtained the absolute majority.

MLP deputy leader Michael Falzon said the MLP will wait for the 1st count of its candidates before making an announcement as it is so close.
