MLP deputy leader concedes election defeat

Malta Labour Party (MLP) deputy leader Michael Falzon has conceded defeat.

Speaking to the media at the Naxxar counting hall at around 0320 CET, Michael Falzon said that counting of first count votes has been concluded and that the Nationalist Party is preferred by approximately 0.5% of the electorate and around 1,500 of votes.

The MLP deputy leader said that the Malta Labour Party will be holding a press conference on Monday at 1100 CET.
