In a statement published on Wednesday, the Health Division said that the condition of Health Spokesperson of the Malta Labour Party, Karl Chircop, is still worryingly serious.

Dr Chircop was hospitalised for a brain haemorrhage on the night between Sunday and Monday and has been in a critical condition since then.

Chircop's family and the MLP leadership has thanked all the medical personnell at Mater Dei for their help.  Friends and sympathisers are being asked to refrain from calling the family or visiting Chircop in hospital.
