A National Day Reception was recently held in Washington DC for which a number of dignitaries attended.

Malta is no longer an island; today it is an active participant within the EU’s globally influential economic and political institutions!” This was stated by Mark Miceli-Farrugia, Malta’s Ambassador to the United States, during the event.
This activity was attended by various European Heads of Mission, headed by the Ambassador of France, holder of the European Presidency, Mr Pierre Vimont; by Senior Officials from the US Department of State, the US Department of Homeland Security, the US Treasury and by members of the Maltese community residing in the greater Washington area.

These Agreements will enhance the already strong bilateral relations between both countries. The Ambassador also announced a number of US credentialled courses being coordinated in Malta by the University of Malta in cooperation with different American universities.
A few days later, the Ambassador and Mrs Miceli-Farrugia attended the National Day Reception hosted under the auspices of the Honorary President of the Maltese-American Social Club of San Francisco and Mrs Joseph Tanti.
