A Libyan who was reported missing by the police last week had been arrested several times for fraud, attempted murder, hold-ups, robberies, traffic offences as well as for attempting to escape from prison, It-Torca reported on Sunday.
40-year-old Ali Abdalla Elbakoush, a Valletta resident, is mostly specialised in fraud, It-Torca stated. In fact the most recent case he is implicated for is a case of fraud amounting to Lm 7,400.
Sources close to the police told It-Torca that the Libyan has probably fled from Malta Ali Abdalla Elbakoush has a pending court case and should serve a prison sentence due to the various offences he has committed.
