Three persons are helping the police with their investigations following a raid at the Valletta market in which about 1,700 Optical CDs, DVDs and other software were seized.

The discs are thought to be pirated copies.

The persons are expected to be arraigned in court in the coming days.

Meanwhile on Sunday, the police held two persons in connection with a robbery from an establishment in St Nicholas Square in Siggiewi.  The theft took place between Saturday and Sunday.

Cash, tobacco and a Hi-Fi were stolen.

Magistrate Dr Audrey Demicoli was informed of the case and appointed various experts to aid her in the inquiry.

The two persons will also be arraigned in court shortly.
