Malta Customs third in international competition

The Malta Customs placed third in a competition held by the World Customs Organisation (WCO), open to 171 countries.  

Customs in Paraguay and Algeria placed first and second respectively, for best fulfilling their duties and putting a stop to counterfeit goods reaching their markets. Malta’s result was announced at the end of a meeting WCO meeting for heads of Customs in Brussels.  

Malta’s third place prize was handed over to Director General Designate Paul Scerri.      

Togo and Germany placed fourth and fifth respectively.
