The Customs seized an undisclosed quantity of beer after it was brought into Malta without  necessary documents. It also resulted that due tax on the beer was not paid. The beer was found in a trailer which arrived in Malta via a catamaran from Sicily on Monday.

The trailer also contained liquid detergent for which an importation license was not presented upon an inspection carried out by Customs Officials.

All the merchandise, along with the trailer, was seized by the Customs for further investigations.
