Four held after two separate drug finds

The police are holding four persons in connection with drug finds on two separate occasions.

The first drug find occurred on Sunday morning inside a garage in Kalkara. Fifty ecstacy pills were found, together with about 20 grammes of cocaine and 350 grammes of cannabis resin. Drug-related objects were also discovered.

A 25-year-old youth from Vittoriosa was arrested.

Meanwhile on Sunday evening, the Drugs Squad also found fifty ecstacy pills and ten packets of cocaine which were ready to be sold. During the raid, which was carried out in Mellieħa, three youths hailing from Mellieħa, Msida and Swieqi were held.

Duty Magistrate Dr. Miriam Hayman was informed of the arrests and appointed various experts to aid her in the inquiry.

Police investigations continue.
