Six charged with stealing Lm16,000

Six youths whose ages range from 15 to 21, were charged on Monday with stealing Lm16,000 from Michael Raymond Sciberras on Friday at around 2000 CET. The theft happened in Triq il-Ġojjin, Fgura.
Magistrate Miriam Hayman presided over the court.
The accused are 19-year-old Glenn Spiteri, 20-year-old Duncan Caruana and 21-year-old Eric Zammit who all hail from Tarxien as well as 21-year-old Wayne Briffa from Marsascala, 20-year-old Scott Fenech from St Luċija and a fifteen-year-old girl from Paola.
The six youths were also charged of acting violently.
The accused pleaded not guilty. They were granted bail against a personal guarantee of Lm1,500 each.
