A group of 29 illegal immigrants has landed at Wied iz-Zurrieq on Friday morning.

The police said they were informed at around 0630 CEST that a boatload of illegal immigrants was expected in the area. When officers went on site they found 20 men and nine women on board.

The police are investigating.
