Detergent shop held up

A detergent shop in Fleet Street Gzira was held up on Monday morning, with the robbers escaping with a little less than Lm3,000 in cash.

The police said two armed and hooded men went into the shop and asked the owner to give them the money.   The owner was not hurt but was hospitalised because he w suffering from a shock.

The Duty Magistrate ordered an inquiry and the police are investigating.
