Daniel Felice, 18 and Silvio Felice, 52 both from Gharb, Gozo were arraigned in court on Saturday in relation to the shooting of a 29-year old Briton on Thursday 13th December 2007.
The shooting occurred at around 21.30CET at Gharb, Gozo. The British man was found injured by firearm on Friday morning in Marfa Road, Mellieha.
Amongst other charges, Daniel Felice was accused of the attempted murder or trying to seriously injure the man by shooting at him. He was accused of lightly injuring the victim, of using a firearm in a residential public area, that he was carrying a firearm and also of being in possession of the firearm without the necessary police license.
He pleaded not guilty to the accusations. Daniel Felice was granted bail against a Lm5,000 personal guarantee and a Lm2,000 deposit. He was ordered not to leave his residence without the police consent or unless authorised by the Court.
In turn, Silvio Felice, 52 from Gharb, Gozo was accused that on the 14th December 2007 and in previous years he had in his possession a firearm without the necessary police license.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the accusation and was granted bail against a personal guarantee of Lm100 and a deposit of Lm500.
Magistrate Dr P. Coppini presided.
