Two in court over drug charges

A Maltese and a Liberian were arrainged in court on drug charges on Saturday.

The two were found in possession of a kilogramme of heroin and cocaine in Bugibba on Thursday afternoon.

Twenty-nine-year-old Liberian Ibrahim Koroma was accused of associating himself with the selling, trafficking and aggravated possession of heroin and cocaine. He was also accused of being in possession of marijuana from cannabis plants.

Ont he other hand, 26-year-old Christian Grech was accused of association and aggravated possession of heroin and cocaine.

The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against them. They remain at Corradino Corrective Facility.

Magistrate Dr G.Grixti presided over the court.
