30-year-old sustains grievous injuries after fall

A 30-year-old man sustained grievous injuries after falling from a height of three storeys  on Friday morning.

The police said that the incident happened in Valletta Road in Luqa at around 0820CET.  Preliminary investigations by district police revealed that the man carrying out some works when for some reason the man fell down.

He was initially assisted and given first aid by some of his colleagues until the ambulance arrived and rushed him to Mater Dei Hospital.  There it was certified that the man had sustained serious fractures but was not in danger of losing his life.

Further investigations are underway.
