A 32-year-old man from Naxxar is in danger of dying after he collided with his motorcycle into a vehicle on the opposite lane. The accident occurred around midnight on Saturday at St. Andrew’s Street, Pembroke.

The vehicle was driven by a 45-year-old man from Valletta who was not injured.

The Naxxar motorcyclist was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital where he was certified to be in a critical condition.

Duty Magistrate Dr. A. Vella was informed of the case and several experts were appointed to assist in the inquiry.

Meanwhile, at around 04:00CET on Saturday morning, neighbours noticed a residence door ablaze in Triq il-Qoton, Naxxar. The persons managed to extinguish the fire themselves.

The façade of the residence was damaged. However, neither the residents of the house nor the neighbours were injured in this incident.

Further police investigations are underway.
