Unidentified lifeless body of a man found in Sliema

The lifeless body of a man was found in the area under the Tower in Sliema on Tuesday afternoon at around 1310CET, the police said in a statement. 

The man has now been identified as a 66-year-old from St Julian's, the police said, but further details will only be published later.

Magistrate Dr Antonio Mizzi LLD was informed about the case and appointed various experts to aid in the enquiry.

Further Police investigations are underway.
