A female employee of an amusement establishment was the victim of a hold up in Zabbar on Wednesday night, the police said in a statement.

Preliminary investigations revealed that a hooded man, armed with a screwdriver, entered the establishment and demanded cash from the employee.   In the establishment there were a number of amusement machines.

The man then made off with some cash.

No one was injured in this incident.

District Magistrate Dr. Scerri Herrera is holding an inquiry.
