19-year-old dies in Mosta traffic accident

A 19-year-old Imsida youth lost his life in a traffic accident in Mosta on Saturday afternoon. The accident happened at around 1320 CET in Triq iz-Zebbiegh which leads from Mosta to Mgarr.

Police preliminary investigations revealed that the youth who was driving a Ford Escort lost control of his vehicle and crashed into an oncoming rental car.

The 19-year-old youth died on site while a passenger in his car is in danger of dying.

Meanwhile, three foreigners in the rental car, a Kia Picanto, were freed from their car by members of the CPD.

The police are still investigating.
