The woman was a passenger in a Puegeot car driven by a 22 year-old woman also from Marsascala that collided in a Landrover Series3 steered by a 32 year-old man from Mosta coming from the opposite direction. The drivers of both vehicles were not injured.

The woman is being treated in hospital while police continue with their investigations.
