Illegal immigrants land in Gozo

Early on Saturday morning at around 08:15CET, a group of illegal immigrants entered the Mgarr Harbour in Gozo, the police said in a brief statement.

There were 26 persons on board of the boat of whom 22 men and four women.

This was the third group of illegal immigrants to land on Maltese shores in these past three days.

22 men, five women and two babies landed at Ghar Lapsi on Friday morning while another 27 migrants landed at Birzebbugia on Thursday evening.
