31 year-old woman dies after swimming incident

A 31 year-old woman has lost her life tragically after encountering difficulties while swimming in Sliema, the police said in a statement.
The incident on the coast of Tower Road when the woman, a resident of Ta Giorni, had some difficulties while swimming and an ambulance was called for assistance.
The woman was rushed to Mater Dei hospital where in spite of the medical assistance she received she did not survive, the police said.
A magisterial inquiry is being conducted.
