Three robbers target elderly couples' residence

An elderly couple of robbed by three hooded thieves, one of whom was armed, in their Sliema residence on Sunday afternoon.  

The robbery took place when the burglars gained access to the couples’ home in St. Anthony Street and made away with an undisclosed sum of money.

Duty Magistrate Dr. Audrey Demicoli was informed of the case and appointed various experts to help her in the inquiry.  

Police investigations are underway.

Two other robberies took place over the weekend with Fondazzjoni Wirt Artna offices as well as a 67-year-old woman from Kalkara, both being robbed.
