AFM assist yacht saving 65 onboard near Comino

Late on Saturday evening, the Armed Forces of Malta (AFM) assisted a yacht registered under the name “English Rose”.

The yacht experienced difficulties in the area around Comminotto. The persons on board the yacht were assisted at around at around 11:45CEST.

Two AFM patrol boats were dispatched immediately as sea water was getting into the yacht. 65 persons were saved.

The rescued persons were consequently taken to Cirkewwa.
