Authorities issue warning after TB report

Passengers who boarded Alitalia flight AZ884 from Milan, Italy to Malta on Monday 9th April have been urged to contact Disease Surveillance Unit within the Department of Health.

The warning was issued after authorities were informed on Wednesday that a foreign woman, ill with tuberculosis (TB) had boarded the flight.

The woman is currently being treated at St. Luke’s Hospital.  

Passengers have been urged to contact the Disease Surveillance Unit on 2133 2235, 2132 4086 during office hours, or the Public Health doctor on call, through St. Luke’s Hospital on 2124 1251 outside of office hours.
