Vehicle set on fire; Nigerian woman injured

A vehicle was set on fire late on Sunday evening at the Mriehel Industrial Estate. Preliminary police investigations revealed that a Mazda 323 had been set on fire.

Duty Magistrate Dr Lawrence Quintano was informed about the case. Experts were appointed to assist in the inquiry.

Further police investigations are underway.

Meanwhile, also on Sunday evening at around 20:15CET, a 23-year-old Nigerian woman was injured after she was stabbed in her thigh following an argument in Triq il-Port Ruman, Qawra.

The Nigerian woman was involved in an argument with a 48-year-old Maltese man.

The woman was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance for treatment.

The police are investigating the case.
