Archbishop Mons Cremona paid a three-hour visit to prison inmates on Tuesday. Mr Sandro Gatt, Director at the Corradino correctional Facility (CCF) informed Mons Cremona that the currect population stands at 398. 298 inmates are Maltese of which 16 are female. The remaning 100 are foreigners.

During his visit, Mons Cremona said that the facility faces harsh realities. "One would wish to unite the protection society requires with the work inspired by human values which say that each person is God's son and created in His image.

Archbishop Cremona said he hoped his visit was a source of inspiration, hope and consolation for all inmates. Mons Cremona also promised he would pray for all, including the families of prisoners.

The Archbishop's thoughts went also to the staff at the CCF.

Persons from the 'Dlam ghad-Dawl' group gave the prison inmates postcards depicting the Archbishop with a significant dedication signed by Mons Cremona himself.  The words read 'You are the true image of God's likeness - nothing can change that'.
