On Sunday afternoon, the Armed Forces of Malta (AFM) rescued a 26-year-old woman who was trapped on a rock face in the Fomm ir-Rih area.

The young woman was located in a position on the rock face some 150 metres above the sea, and could neither move up or down from her stranded position.

The 26-year-old, who did not suffer any injuries, had to be rescued by helicopter since attempts of assistance from land were unsuccessful.
