A meeting was held on Friday between MUT Officials and MCAST representatives.
The latest developments were discussed and MCAST representatives were informed that no written reactions from MCAST Management were received.

The MUT was also informed that a circular was distributed among the lecturing staff, the contents of which are repleat with inaccuracies, half truths and misleading statements.  The MUT considers this act as a serious breach of industrial ethics.  In all of its communications, the MUT was always cautious not to betray any details, let alone putting across a completely misleading picture.

In view of the above circumstances, where no progress whatsoever has been registered and the reproachable stand of MCAST Management, the MUT has no alternative but to issue further directives to protect the interests of lecturing staff.

The Lecturing Staff at MCAST is hereby being directed as from Tuesday, 6 May not to perform any duty apart from the delivery of lectures.

This directive stands till further notice is given by the MUT.
The MUT assures all staff adhering to this directive of its full protection.
