As the strike by transport operators goes acrimoniously on, a rumour that petrol station owners are going on strike has created a stir among some consumers who rushed to queue at stations.

This rumour is however completely false the GRTU said in a statement. The union said that in representation of all petrol station owners it has no issue with Government pending that could lead to any action.

GRTU is therefore advising motorists not to take heed of anything said to the contrary.
