A Maltese fishing boat found a corpse of a man on Saturday evening close to the area where the corpses of two missing fishermen were recovered on Thursday and Friday.

The man is in an advanced state of decomposition and his identity is not clear.

Meanwhile the search continues for an 11-year-old boy and an Ethiopian fisherman who were both on the Simshar. The Simshar was scheduled to return to Marsaxlokk on Friday 11th July but never made it.

Simon Bugeja, the only survivor so far, said that all the Simshar's occupants were thrown into the sea after an explosion on board. He is in intensive care at Mater Dei Hospital.

The Maltese Church expressed its sorrow at the tragedy.
