Maltese most cautious in sexual relationships

Maltese females have their first sexual relationship at 20 years of age, making them the most reflective, Adnkronos reported. Meanwhile, Finnish males and females have the earliest sexual relationships at 16 and 16.7 years of age respectively.
This data was revealed in London on Friday at the occasion of the World Day of Contraception.
The survey was held among sexually active respondents aged between 16 and 49 who hailed from Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Poland, Holland, the Czech Republic, Switzerland and Hungary.
Perception on the right time to make love with a new partner varies from country to country. While 50% of Greeks would go for sexual intimacy within a week, 30% of Maltese think that it is right to wait until marriage. Meanwhile, 22% declare they are still virgins at the altar.
