MaltaMedia finalist of 17th Malta Journalism Awards

MaltaMedia is yet again finalist in the e-journalism category of the Malta Journalism Awards (MJA) with Pierre Mejlak and his blog. MM has won this category in 2003, 2005 and 2006.

Martin Debattista, MaltaMedia's editor in chief, is also finalist in the Print Features sections with his specialised freelance coverage of technology in The Times' weekly IT supplement.

The jury will again confer the Gold Award . Past winners of the award are Fr Joe Borg (1998), Anton Cassar (1999), Frank Attard (2000), J.G. Vassallo (2001), Anthony Montanaro (2002), John Manduca (2003), Charles Grech Orr (2004), Pawlu Carachi (2005) and Paul Saliba (2006).

Meanwhile, the
Institute of Maltese Journalists (IĠM) said that 25 participants have submitted their work for the National Language Category. The winner, toegther with winners from all other categories will be announced in a ceremony to be held shortly.
