The price of Maltese bread
will go up on Monday following an agreement between the government and the
Bakers&#39; Cooperative that will also see the liberalisation of the bread market
come January 1, The Times reports.


&lt;p&gt;The price of a large loaf
of bread will rise by &amp;#8364;0.07 to &amp;#8364;0.54 and that of a small loaf by &amp;#8364;0.04 to
&amp;#8364;0.34. The price order fixing this price will be the last one and will expire
on December 31.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

contracted by a university student, it said in a statement published on
