This year’s Malta Song for Europe will be held at the new
conference centre in Ta' Qali, with singer J. Anvil and television host Stephanie
Spiteri presenting both the semi-final and final rounds, to be held on the 1st

The lines for the televoting will remain open for half an hour for both the
semi final and the final. Only one call can be made from each number.
The Malta Song Board also said that in a bid to ensure that the jury will not
be influenced by the reactions of the audience to any song, it will watch the
show in another room, on a television screen.
The televoting, as well as the jury votes, will function in the Eurovision Song
Contest style, with awardable points ranging from one to eight, followed by ten
and 12 points – the maximum amount of points a performer may obtain.
The opening and interval acts of the semi-final will be performed by the YADA
dance company. Fabrizio Faniello will open the final and Ruslana will perform
during the interval of the final.
Tickets will be available from Monday 15th January, through the Maltese Post
Office, music shops and the Malta Culture Office.
