For the 9th consecutive year a Music Festival in aid of The Eden Foundation will be held at Simon’s Pub in Depiro Street, Sliema.

The festival has become an institution of sorts, attracting a host of local talent and popular personalities.All the proceeds generated from the event will be donated to SOS EDEN a recently launched campaign with a single goal: to ensure the continuation of The Eden Foundation’s success by sourcing additional, desperately required funds to continue operating.

Last year Lm2, 500 was raised.

This year’s event will held over three days. The festival will start on Friday the 27th April, from 200CET to 2300CET. The second session will follow on Saturday the 28th April at the same times, while the final session will be held on Sunday 29th April from 1400CET to 2300CET.

At Simon’s Pub Music Festival 2007, one can have a drink and watch top local bands performing live. Previous performers who have donated their time and talent to this hugely popular event include, Retrophytes, Kartridge, Julian Casha, Pitch 99, Scar, Ira Losco, Muzzle, Cable 35, Happy hour, Stoned Joker, ColourBlind, Falcon, Fiona, Fire, Cell 109, Tony Grimaud, N.V, Boys Next Door, Beige and others.

Also playing this year are Age of Orange from Germany.

Spot Prizes will be drawn throughout the duration of this event, and a number of popular local personalities will be there to present many of the spot prizes.

In conjunction with this activity an Art exhibition from various
Maltese artists is being held including works by Pauline Zarb , Tonio Mallia , Theresa Storace, Neville Cassar, Claudia Griscti, Etienne Vassallo, Eric Buijs, Grace Cassar & Benny Brimmer. It will open at the same pub from from the 18th to 26th April. All the proceeds from this exhibition will go towards the same cause.
