Olivia Lewis, set to represent Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest semi-final on the 10th May, has had to cancel her promotional trip to Romania after developing a sudden fever on Tuesday.

The singer's personal medical doctor said that Olivia Lewis is overtired and she needs to rest".  Olivia developed a 38.9 ° Celsius (102 ° Fahrenheit) fever after touring in Belgium and The Netherlands.

MaltaSong Chairman Robert Abela decided to cancel Olivia’s promotional trip to Romania so that she could stay in bed and rest.

However, fans needn't be alarmed. Writing in her blog on Wednesday Olivia said "I am feeling much better now. Another two days, and I'll be as good as gold."
