With only three days away from the semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest, the Maltese ambassador Olivia Lewis and her team are engaged in further preparations on their fourth day in Helsinki.
Olivia along with violinist Joseph Chetcuti and gong-playing dancer Jes together with three dancers rehearsed their choreography in a gym close to the hotel Sokos Helsinki where the Maltese delegation is currently staying.
On Monday afternoon Olivia visited the pavilion of the European Year of Equal Opportunities for All, located at the Eurovision Village which is situated in the centre of Helsinki. In the evening Olivia will be attending her second evening party of her stay in Finland: the Helsinki Welcome Party starting at 19:00(CET+1).
Olivia’s first evening party organised by Giorgia at the Presidenti Hotel was held on Sunday evening where she performed her song Vertigo. Earlier on Sunday afternoon, Olivia Lewis’ second rehearsal for her Eurovision Song Contest entry Vertigo was held, with the singer taking to the stage at Helsinki Arena, Finland in the dress she will wear during the semi-final round on Thursday.
In turn,
oikotime.com commented that “Olivia’s song sounds delicious but the stage performance is too much” adding that “Malta is one of the countries which loves the contest more than any other. The good thing is that the viewers know that and might be generous to Malta”.
The semi-final, in which Olivia will participate with Vertigo, takes place next Thursday on 10th May. If she makes it into the final night she will also perform on the 12th May.
MaltaMedia.com will report live from Finland during Eurovision week with Toni Sant present at the Helsinki Arena.
