Maltese artist jon lukas's song Fade Away has reached no.6 in a Fame Game show on a Marbella, Spain-based radio station. lukas' track can be heard and voted for on meermusic.com.

jon lukas, who is based in the UK, was Malta's first ever recording artist achieving success outside the Maltese shores. In 1970, his song Can't afford to lose was signed by major record company Emi Columbia. The song touched the prestigious British National charts entering the top fifty.

The song also reahced no.1 for three months in Lebanon, Abu Dabi, Damascus, Iraq and Bahrain and the rest of the Emirates keeping the Beatles' Long and Winding Road off the no.1 slot in that part of the world.

Following his brother's death in 1987, jon lukas was also vital in creating a national awareness on HIV in schools and the university.
