225 songs submitted for Song for Europe 2008

Maltasong Board notified that 225 songs were submitted for the Song for Europe 2008 festival. The submissions were received on Monday 12 and Tuesday 13th November, 2007. Union of Composers and authors (UKAM) assisted MaltaSong Board during this process.

A panel of 8 foreign judges will early next week determine which 35 songs will be selected to take part in the 2nd phase of this year’s selection.

The first phase selection process will take place between Monday 19th and Wednesday 21st November at St.Agatha’s School’s Auditorium, Rabat.

MaltaSong Board also notified that the first phase selection results will be published on Friday 23rd November, 2007.
