Freddie "The King" touring Australia with new album

The King of Maltese Rock and Roll, Freddie Portelli, is currently touring Melbourne and Sydney, Australia with a number of well received performances. At a concert at the Croatian Hall in Ardeer, Freddie Portelli also launched his 20th CD Album "Viva it Tewmin".

Audiences, mostly Maltese and Gozitan emigrants settled in Australia, have been flocking to his concerts during which he performs a mixed repertoire of some of his best known songs such as "Viva Malta", "Hallini" and "Ghal Dejjem".

Followers and organisers said that Portelli’s performances raise the reputation of the whole Maltese music spectrum to the highest esteem wherever “The King” tours.

In his closing speech at the St Bernadette's concert Mr. Victor Bartolo
President of St. Helen's Club, very emotional, thanked Freddie Portelli
and all who were present, for “a fantastic show that was unique”.

Cavalier Joseph Barbara who was at one of his concerts in Altona
said. "Here came many professional Singers and Artists who performed
superbly but Freddie is the best of the best"
