The Maltese metal band Nomad Son, consisting of Forsaken bassist Albert Bell and Frenzy Mono members Chris and Julian Grech (guitars and keyboards respectively), Edward Magri (drums) and Jordan  Cutajar (vocals), have signed a record deal with Italy 's Metal on Metal Records.

This independent metal-oriented label includes various bands pursuing variants of the traditional heavy metal idiom. Other bands on the label include Catch 22 (USA), Heathendom ( Greece ), Skelator ( USA ) and Metal Law ( Germany ).

Samples of each band, including Nomad Son, may be downloaded from the band's website at www.metal-on-metal.com.

Nomad Son's debut album, titled "First Light", shall be released worldwide at the beginning of July 2008 and will be launched locally at a later date.  The album shall feature new tracks penned by the band in recent months and re-worked versions of "Shallow Grave" and "Empyrean Fade".

The original demo versions of these two tracks are appearing exclusively on Metal on Metal's label sampler CD, released for promotional purposes.

Meanwhile, fans may catch Nomad Son live at Poxx Bar, Paceville on Saturday, May 3rd 2008.

Veteran atmospheric death metal band Lithomancy shall be co-headlining the event and shall be playing a set list that is representative of their eventful and trailblazing history. Clearly, a great billing which should not be missed by local metal fans.
