Flute and Piano recital at Teatru Manoel

Teatru Manoel in collaboration with St James Cavalier have invited Silvio Zammit (flute) and Ramona Zammit Formosa (pianist) to give a Flute and Piano Recital during the Lunchtime Concert to be held at Sala Isouard on Wednesday 30th April at 1.00pm . The recital will be preceded by a Theatre Guided Tour at 12.15pm for an all inclusive price of Eur6.99.
These two well-known local artistes have chosen to perform “Le Petite Negre” Golliwog Cakealk by Debussy, Suite Antique by Rutter; Gershwin’s three preludes and Original Rag – the Entertainer by Joplin.
Both artistes are well established and they perform regularly in Malta. They have been performing together for many years. Both Ramona and Silvio have premiered many Maltese compositions and together have featured in various solo and chamber music recitals both locally and abroad. They recorded three CD’s featuring works by Carmelo Pace, Charles Camilleri and 18th and 19th century. Ramona attended various master classes abroad for harpsichord and in Baroque performing whilst Silvio regularly attends master classes with international flautists and took part in baroque Music Workshops with the Baroque flute specialist Berthold Kuijkens.
