Concerts in Valletta to mark Workers Day

On Workers Day, celebrated on the 1st of May, a series of music and song spectacles will be held in Valletta, by the Malta Labour Party (MLP). The spectacles will comprise of three different stages set up around Malta’s capital city.

The activities will reach their peak in a three-hour concert to be held in Freedom Square.

Various stages will host different musicians on Workers Day. One of the stages, set up in front of the Parliament building, will feature Mro. Joe Brown directing a 12-member band who will accompany a number of established Maltese singers. Another stage, in front of the courts in Republic Street, will feature the pop and jazz musicians Big Band Brother.

Activities will come to head in Freedom Square as Scar, Winter Moods, Olivia Lewis, Alessandro Canino, Alex Tamburini, Katrina and the Waves and Toto Cotugno take to the stage.
