Olivia Lewis is resting ahead of her participation in the Eurovision Song Contest semifinal on Thursday with her entry Vertigo. Since her arrival in Helsinki, Finland, last Wednesday, Olivia Lewis has been busy rehearsing. A further three rehearsals are scheduled before Thursday night, with the first taking place on Wednesday afternoon.

MaltaMedia’s founder and creative director Toni Sant is also in Helsinki. Speaking from Hartwell Arena Toni Sant said “I'm struck by how calm things are just two days before the semifinal. Olivia has her wits about her but there's also a sense among her team that this is the lull before the storm. What everyone hopes, of course, is that the impending storm blows Malta's ship into the harbour that is Saturday's final.”

As she relaxed in a bubble bath on Tuesday morning, Toni Sant told Olivia Lewis that “Unlike last year, there's no obvious winner this year.”

Vertigo is at number ten in the average of odds of winning the contest. On Tuesday Stan James, Skybet, William Hill, Ladbrokes placed Malta odds of winning at 20. Betfair placed them at 64. The average of odds is calculated on 19 different betting companies.

On Tuesday at 2000 CEST,  the Big Four (Germany, France, Spain and United Kingdom) will open the doors for the fourth annual Big Four Unplugged Party. There is only entrance with an invitation, and most of the Eurovision Song Contest entrants will be present to perform accoustic versions of their entries. It is expected that Olivia Lewis sings an unplugged version of her song at this party in Helsinki.

MaltaMedia.com is reporting live from Finland during Eurovision week with Toni Sant present at the Helsinki Arena.
