Mission Fund to hold fund raising at Bay Street

The Bay Street complex will be hosting a fundraising event in aid of the mission fund project in Tanzania on March 29th and 30th.
This year the mission fund volunteers will be traveling to MWANZA in TANZANIA to carry out construction works at a centre for HIV+ children. The centre is run by a Maltese nun, Sr Domenica Giliberti.
A container with donated medicines, food and equipment required for building and related works is at present being assembled.
The events on Saturday will kick off at 6.00 pm with a song and dance event by Alison Ellul assisted by her students. This will be followed by a performance by the ever popular singer Aldo Busutill.
At 7.30 pm Klinsmann and Kylie Coleiro will take the centre stage where they will perform part of their latest repertoire. Klinsmann and Kylie will be followed by a spectacular show by the Water Fall Dancers.
On Sunday the day long activities start off with Olivia Lewis at 11.00 am followed by a show by the Police dogs. The afternoon events start at 3.30 pm with a performance by Rita Pace, followed by Corinne Turner, J Anvil and the Pro Touch Dancers, Priscilla Psaila and Fiona and Friends.
The Mission Fund was established 24 years ago assists 223 Maltese missionary stations in 40 countries by sending regular 1,200 Euro donations on a roster basis. Mission Fund also selects a particular project every year and prepares a group of 25 persons, who travel to a missionary station to work on the selected project.
